Stud List

We will be compiling a list of available studs in the UK. If any member wishes to be listed do please get in touch with us.

Advice to owners of queens:

Plan your choice of stud well in advance, to compliment your cat and her pedigree - don't leave it until your cat is in season before you make your initial contact with the stud owner.
If possible, do try to visit the stud and owner to satisfy yourself that your cat is going to be treated in the way that you feel happy with and that the accommodation is suitable.
Make sure that your queen is registered with the relevant authority and is on the active register - stud owners will require to see proof of this
Make sure that all vaccinations are up to date and any boosters are given at least 7 days before going to stud.
You will need to show the vaccination record to the stud owner.
In your preliminary enquiries of the stud owner, you should have established what blood tests are required and the timing of these, so these will need to be arranged at the appropriate times.
If there are restrictions on the sale of the resulting kittens, do make sure that this is all agreed beforehand and if a written contract is required, ensure that a copy is seen in advance of a mating and ensure that you fully understand all the terms and conditions that apply to the contract.
And last but not least, make sure that your queen is in the best of health and in the peak of condition to give her pregnancy the best start it can have.
